Family Advocates Coalition
Grantee: Claritas Creative
Project ended: March 2025
Project description: Claritas Creative led this project to positively impact the lives of people with developmental disabilities in Georgia through legislative action initiated by an effective coalition of family advocates.
Get Out the Vote/Civic Engagement
Grantee: Crimminz and Associates
Project ended: November 2024
Project description: Crimminz and Associates led this project to educate and energize voters with disabilities across the State of Georgia. This project aimed to fund grassroots efforts to promote local civic engagement in historically marginalized and underrepresented communities or rural areas.
Inclusive Housing in Georgia
Grantee: Better Living Together
Project ended: 2026
Project description: The goal of this project was to conduct the requisite pre-development work to support the development of a housing community within the Atlanta Metro area that intentionally integrates people with and without disabilities.
Implementation of Training Modules for Georgia as a Model Employer (GAME)
Grantee: Blind Bear Creative
Project ended: September 2025
Project description: The goal of the project was to design, develop, and implement comprehensive virtual training modules that support Georgia’s efforts to become a Model Employer of individuals with disabilities. This initiative aligned with the legislative and policy framework established under Georgia’s GAME initiative (24 LC 36 56644; SB 384) and sought to empower state agencies to foster inclusive employment practices.

Project description: The goal of Project SEARCH was to prepare young adults with I/DD for competitive, integrated employment through workplace training, education, and mentorship. As of October 2024, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency took over statewide support of Project SEARCH.
Project SETA: Students Enhancing Their Advocacy
Grantee: Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University
Project ended: 2026
Project description: The Center for Leadership in Disability led this project to develop a coalition of student leaders with intellectual and developmental disabilities, who are prepared to take the helm of Georgia’s advocacy movement upon graduation from their Inclusive Post Secondary Education programs.
