Julia McVicker, MS, OTR/L, DRP is thrilled to announce that Adaptable Driving is now the exclusive Georgia provider of the Neurodiverse Driving Simulator, developed by the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation at Vanderbilt University. Now you can see it in action!

This innovative simulator is designed to support neurodiverse individuals as they build the skills and confidence needed for safe, independent driving. Adaptable Driving team is honored to bring this cutting-edge technology to Georgia and look forward to helping more drivers achieve their goals. Be the first in Georgia to learn more about this innovative simulator by attending the Georgia Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce (GANCC) event at Adaptable Driving for our September networking event. 

Julia is the owner and Driving Rehabilitation Professional and an Occupational Therapist. She explores current research, evidence-based tools, and practical strategies that help individuals develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue driving. She will discuss how to determine the right timing, pace, and pathway for each person's unique needs and goals.

Participants will learn about Adaptable Driving's comprehensive approach, which combines online learning for home study, community-based driving simulation, and individualized driving evaluations and training. GANCC attendees will learn more about how she promotes safety, independence, and self-determination with new neurodivergent drivers as they gain more independence!

Cost: $12 for GANCC Members and $25 for the general public. Price includes a light breakfast and coffee/tea.

  • Submissions must be received at least three weeks in advance of the event.
  • Events must align with GCDD's mission.

  • The person submitting information about the event is responsible for the accuracy of the submission.
  • Fundraisers and fundraising events are prohibited.
